About

Everyone knows Scott White. His artwork has been showcased all around Florida for over 15 years, from his work as a professional tattoo artist, internationally-traversed musician with Dragbody and Six Dead Horses, and as a consummate freelance artist. Like his personality, his subject matter explodes outward from the constraints of the frame, often depicting stylized, yet simple vignettes of fringe culture attitudes. His pieces are hanging in houses, modern museums, and etched deeply into the skin of the people.

In his latest offering, Scott brings the streets to live, marrying non-traditional elements like stencils, graffiti, and sidewalk chalk with his subjects. Choosing to focus primarily on darkly shaded portraitures of human faces, intermixed in the background of the pieces are gentle birds and birdhouses. “I just think [birdhouses] are the safest place ever,” Scott comments. “You see twenty to thirty birds crowded into one like a clown car. It’s amazing.”

Most recently, Ethos Vegan Kitchen chose Scott to be their resident artist.
